How to request deletion of your personal data

1. Overview
Vound Brand UG (haftungsbeschränkt) ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to your right to data privacy. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. This page explains what data we collect through connected services, how to request its deletion, and what happens when you do.
2. Data Collected via Connected Services
When you interact with our platform through connected services (WhatsApp, Slack, web, etc.), we may collect:
- Profile Information: Name, profile picture, and locale (language/region).
- User ID: A platform-specific identifier used to associate your conversations with your profile.
- Messages: Conversation content exchanged with our AI assistant, used to provide personalized responses.
- Phone Number: If provided through WhatsApp or SMS.
- Interaction Metadata: Timestamps, message status (delivered, read), and session identifiers.
3. How to Request Data Deletion
You can request data deletion in two ways:
Option 1: Email
Send a deletion request to support@sevenlayers.io with the following information:
- Your name or account identifier
- The platform you used (WhatsApp, Slack, Web, etc.)
- Phone number or email associated with your account
- A clear request to delete your data
Option 2: Support Page
Visit our Support page and submit a data deletion request.
4. What We Delete
Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will permanently remove:
- Your profile information and account data
- All conversation history and message content
- Phone number, email, and other contact identifiers
- Any AI-generated content derived from your interactions
- Session and interaction metadata
Exceptions: We may retain certain data where required by law (e.g., tax records under § 257 HGB, § 147 AO) or for legitimate legal claims. Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you may also be retained.
5. Processing Timeline
After receiving your deletion request:
- Acknowledgment: Within 48 hours of receiving your request.
- Verification: We may contact you to verify your identity.
- Deletion: Completed within 30 days of the verified request.
- Confirmation: You will receive email confirmation once deletion is complete.
6. Check Deletion Status
After submitting a deletion request, you can check the status at any time by emailing support@sevenlayers.io with your original request reference.
7. Legal Basis
Your right to data deletion is grounded in:
- GDPR Article 17 — Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Platform Terms — Compliance with connected platform (Meta, WhatsApp, Slack) data deletion requirements
- BDSG — German Federal Data Protection Act supplementary provisions
